as of 2026, here is how i use generative ai/llm tools.
i use tools like claude and chatgpt almost daily — mostly for research, ideation, and reflection.
the same way i used to use google before search results got bloated with SEO spam and noise.
you may find my workflow with obsidian and claude code useful.
what i don’t use ai for: writing as me.
no emails, no captions, no articles, no comments.
nothing that pretends to sound like me is written by ai. ever.
i enjoy writing. the challenge of it. the way it forces me to clarify what i really think.
writing is not just how i think, but writing is sometimes the visualisation of how messy these thoughts are — so they are not just a means to a polished output.
this is a prime example which explains more about how i see the craft of figuring things out.
that said, there are areas where ai is useful:
- bouncing ideas (scripts, business models, strategy)
- helping me think through things i haven’t fully articulated
- asking better questions
- “vibe coding” my way through things i don’t fully understand yet
- building systems — i use claude code to design repeatable workflows and SOPs for things like my daily note-taking, morning routines, and weekly reviews. think of it as infrastructure, not authorship.
one honest caveat: my private note system does use ai in the background — things like automated entries in my personal vault, or tools that help me organise and review my thinking. the ideation, the thoughts, and everything published here is still mine.
but again, the real point of this page is to be clear: anything on this site that claims to be written by me was written by me.
if that ever changes, i’ll update this page at ryeones.com/ai![]()
